A friend of a friend rang me last week. She told me that an old friend of mine was inviting me to her bridal shower this coming August. I was surprised since I haven’t seen nor spoken to this friend of mine for years. I’ve also forgotten her face.

I met her during our pre-med days. We were co-interns in a hospital for 2 months. And that was the only time that I had mingled with her. Since then we hardly spoke to each other. However, she had always sent me greeting cards and text messages during special occasions. We always had short talks. We were just telling how our lives had been, especially if we were into relationships or seeing someone. The last time we accidentally saw each other was in 2003. We were rushing in for a walk so we just had a li’l chat. And that was the last time I saw her.

And now, I will be attending a bridal shower wherein I hardly remember the face of the bride. Isn’t it amazing? 🙂

“I haven’t seen you in a while, yet I often imagine all your expressions. I haven’t spoken to you recently, but many times I hear your thoughts. Good friends must not always be together. It is the feeling of oneness, when distant that proves a lasting.”

“True friends are the ones who never leave your heart, even if they leave your life for awhile. Even after years apart, you pick up with them right where you left off, and even if they die they’re never dead in your heart.”
